LoCCO   Lomond and Clyde Community Orchestra

formerly the Helensburgh Saturday Orchestra

Rehearsals - Covid-19

The Committee has decided not to start rehearsals in August 2020 because of the Scottish Government guidelines limit indoor gatherings to eight people from three households.

We're trying out Zoom rehearsals. Invitation links will be sent to members on the list. If we do not have your email because of GDPR please remember to get a trusted contact to forward you the latest link.

In the meantime stay well, and remember to practise three bars a day!

Lomond and Clyde Community Orchestra in performance

Our playing spans a wide range of music - from film themes to serious pieces from the classical repertoire. Our conductor chooses music (up to half a dozen pieces each term) which offers enough challenge to make playing interesting but not so much as to put us off. We are fortunate to have additional specialist tutors who tutor particular sections separately on occasion and regularly provide support for their section during full rehearsals.

LoCCO Winter Concert 2015 in Victoria Halls, Helensburgh

Each term we put on an end-of-term concert. Family, friends and indeed any member of the public, can attend these concerts.

Christmas brings extra performance opportunities in addition to the end of term concert. We usually play at the Carol Service at Helensburgh United Reformed Church and also show off our Christmas repertoire (enhanced by tinsel and Santa hats) at Lomond Shores shopping centre.
